2 week weights

I am pleased with how easy this litter has been so far.  I knew that with Keksi I would have a pretty easy time compared to some past experiences - it was a struggle after Taika's c-section and constant worry and hard work with Neka's nine.  But Keksi makes everything relatively smooth sailing; no dramas, no stress.  Which is just as well with new little Tuuli in the house too.

Soon the weaning will start and that will cause the workload for the humans to approximately double.  Until the move downstairs at 4 weeks and then it will double again.  And triple.

But for now, it's just mucking out twice a day, caring for Keksi, and the weekly weigh-in and nail trimming sessions.

After the sad loss of the 7th puppy 3 hours after his birth, there hasn't really been much to worry about with this bunch.  They are all growing and developing as they should and are approximately the same weights now as their half-brothers and sisters from Keksi's last litter.

Here are the numbers. As always, click on the image for a larger version that's easier to read.

And the comparison with previous litters:

Today's video features some complaining, a bit of face-chewing and a sneeze.  Plus some good captures of super-cute little faces.

Ismo and Kuura enjoyed that video. Lots of tail wagging from Kuura! The gang look great, and really look like little dogs now :-)

Do you suppose Kuura knows they are his half bros & sisters? :-)
